1968 - 1980

The Early Years

Craig Hall grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and was a prototypical entrepreneur at a young age.

    • In 1977, Craig arranged an agreement with Time, Inc. to use the Sports Illustrated brand and partner with them build a chain of racquetball clubs.

    • In the early years, HALL Group developed the Racquetball Court Club at Lemontree as a community-focused amenity promoting active, social living.

    • At age 29, Craig was named one of the ”Ten Outstanding Young Men in America” alongside Bill Clinton.

    • Lemontree marked a milestone in residential development, combining quality design with a focus on community living. It set a new standard for thoughtful, well-crafted apartment communities.
