The Comeback

Craig had been eyeing the Downtown Dallas office market for several years as a potential turnaround investment and in 1994, the company saw an opportunity to purchase high-quality office properties that were depressed in value and upgrade them.

The focus was on adding public art – a key feature of all Craig’s projects to-date.

Craig met Kathryn Walt, whom he was introduced to through former Texas Gov. Ann Richards. The two would marry, and Kathryn would go on to be the ambassador to Austria under Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
